sound

In yoga, people meditate on the chanting sound of OM and other chanted phrases. They also have tones for the chakras such as BUM, LUM, HUM.

Try chanting BA-HA-LA-NA. Share your experience with us.

A recorded a chant in 2009. Listen to it at soundcloud.com>

Sharing now: a meditation sound experiment I created with my son Gregory back in the summer of 2010.

I’ve been a visual artist most of my life and I love chanting and using sound to get into an altered state of mind.

Since I’ve been meditating on the deeper meanings of the phrase “Bahala na” since 1996, I felt compelled to put to sound the aural vibrations of “bahala na” to explore its mind-shifting qualities.

I welcome your feedback as I continue to experiment with sound. I always seek insight from and collaboration with gorgeous creative souls. In this case, I especially welcome comments from those of you who are into kirtan, meditation, and theta brain wave state.
