Unsubscribe from divisiveness.
…what we need is not division, but it’s love and wisdom and compassion toward one another. — Robert Kennedy
Excerpt from my post at Pinay.com:
One of the ways to connect to Liwanag (inner Light) and to shine brighter is by embracing a universal wisdom expressed by Filipinos, it is pakikipagkapwa or the deep awareness of Sacred Interconnection. And in order to practice pakikipagkapwa one must unsubscribe from man-made worldviews of divisiveness and hierarchies that causes one to separate one’s heart and soul from another. In a way, it can sound scary. Or ludicrous. It takes trust and courage to be able to do this. But the trick is to set aside the painful illusions of the world, and to see, with your inner vision, the Truth that is at the center of things.

Kapwa is the Filipino word and value of seeing one’s self in others. Kapwa tao is literally translated as “fellow human” but it’s complete meaning in the Filipino language is “respect for another human.” This is a deep respect whereby you see your fellow humans as equal to you. You see their Light, their soul and you do not, you cannot look down upon them, hurt them, ignore their basic needs or exploit them. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to question and see how belief systems based on hierarchies and superiority are the cause of why a person or group of persons are condescending over another and treat others as inferior or even repulsive. And I invite you to unsubscribe from divisiveness.
