I became a licensed facilitator for the Desire Map workshop this January 2016.
Then thanks to my BFF Valerie Tapalla, of the Wilma Cruz Tapalla Institute of Manila, I held my first Desire Map L1 workshop, on Core Desired Feelings, just this past January 22nd. Valerie made all the arrangements and in a day, she had booked a place at Club Filipino and invited a mastermind group of smart, successful, empowered Filipinas, to experience the first-of-its-kind-in-Manila workshop created by Danielle LaPorte.
The curious question of “how do you want to feel” yields an amazing exploration that can bring about powerful authenticity.
Have your ever wondered what alignment between your soul and your outer life might look like? Well, the workshop can create clarity on that. Really.
For the Desire Map Workshop Level 1, I used the core desired feelings graphics as cut out cards along with TDM workbook during the workshop she facilitated on January 22, 2016.
During the workshop I was in awe of these woman. As I witnessed them, I could easily see why they were successful women:
These women were:
> Intelligent, comprehending the new ways of thinking effortlessly.
> Positive about themselves and towards each other.
> Free of self-consciousness of what they might look like or what others might think of them.
> Comfortable in their own skin, not phased at all by closing their eyes getting into quiet to center themselves.
> Open to exploring the myriad array of feelings that we rarely think of—feelings beyond sadness/joy, anger/delight, frustration/comfort, pride/shame…
> Easily reflected on what core desired feelings that they wanted in the different areas of their lives—Livelihood and Lifestyle, Body and Wellness, Creativity and Learning, Relationships and Society, Essence and Spirituality.
> Without breaking a sweat, they could quickly see how a positive core desired feeling in their life may have already have been in their mental and psychic realm and how it played in their life.
>And they adopted key and new core desired feelings that evoked for them their true selves, aligned still with their life values and goals.
> They are conscious of how they think and live, and how their actions affect others.
> They are happy for others when they do well, too. They don’t need to diminish others to be feel good about themselves.
There was journalling, reflection, collaging… and toward the end we lit candles on our core desired feelings. The gesture of lighting each other’s candles was deeply symbolic of sharing light, supporting each other—so different from the every day world that might be characterized with gossip, pettiness and jealousy, a metaphor of diminishing each others’ light.
And that’s the whole point for me—to see others be brilliant and beautiful.
My first Desire Map workshop was not only a new and gratifying experience for these women, it was also one for me—I met some of the most conscious Filipinas who just so happened to be very successful, at the top of their game, in business and the corporate world of the Philippines.
I can’t wait to hold The Desire Map Workshop Level 2 on Goals with Soul. Wow! I’ll be holding more TDM workshops in the Philippines, Los Angeles, California and Austin, Texas. So just like my FB page if you want hear of my events dates and locations.
